Hailing from Reggio Emilia, they call themselves “a neo-sensitive band opposed to democracy in feelings” and released their debut album Pocket Socialism (technical evidence of transmission) in 2005. In it one can find nine tracks united by musical bases reminiscent of 1980s new wave on which the lyrics are not sung, but rather recited, and a common thread characterized by a “low-intensity ideology,” in which minimal tales touch on or intertwine with the theme of socialism in various facets: the Emilia of the 1970s, the post-communist Prague, and the history of Lenin’s square of Cavriago.
There is no lack, at the beginning of one track (Cinnamon, which sets out to tell the story as seen through Chewing gum), of a sound quotation of the CCCP Fedeli alla linea (Allarme). It is precisely to the CCCP that the group owes much, but while tackling the same theme, it does not do so with the aggression of Ferretti or those who believe in an ideal to be built, but rather with the resignation (“C’hanno davvero preso tutto!) of those who admit to have failed in their intentions. The trio won the 2004 Rock Contest and with the single Robespierre won the Fandango Best Videoclip Award 2005 (directed by Ilpostodellefragole). On February 2, 2008, the tour began to present their second album, Bachelite, released on February 8, 2008. March 6, 2012 saw the release of “Gioco di Società” the band’s third album distributed by Venus and then reissued in 2013 with Audioglobe distribution. (Band’s facebook page)
