Sopravvissuti e sopravviventi

Genres: Pop, Rock

Sopravvissuti e sopravviventi is the third album of the italian singer Luciano Ligabue released by the Warner Music Italy record label on LP, cassette and CD in 1993.

It is the last work together with producer Angelo Carrara and Clan Destino (who, however, we still find in some pieces of the later A che ora è la fine del mondo?), the band that accompanied the artist in the first phase of his career, the collaboration with whom will end in the early 1994.

A deluxe edition of the remastered CD was released in 2008 (Warner Music Italy). On January 22, 2013, this version was also reissued on vinyl LP with a limited run of 500 copies.

It almost represents a breaking point from the previous two albums, whose themes are mantained, but with completely different lyrics and sounds. The lyrics of some songs appear more introspective and pessimistic with harsh musicalities very close to rock, as in the single Ancora in piedi that opens the album, in Lo zoo è qui and in Dove fermano i treni.

In 2015 at the presentation of the third concert at Campovolo he said, “I’ve made slips in my career. The most resounding was the third album: it seemed like my career was over.”. It was only after the success of the subsequent albums that this record would be rediscovered and reevaluated by fans, thanks in part to the presence of some of the best-loved songs from the Correggio rocker’s output such as Ho messo via, Walter il mago, and I duri hanno due cuori.
