Ortodossia II is the first EP of the Italian music group CCCP – Fedeli alla linea, published in 1985 by Attack Punk Records.
Ortodossia II contains the three tracks already published on the previous 1984 Orthodoxy with the addition of Mi ami? The record was originally published on 12″ in the UK by Attack Punk Records in three versions: red vinyl, white vinyl, and black vinyl. It was later republished in Italy in black vinyl by Virgin Records in 1987 and in red vinyl by EMI in 2008 and by Universal Music Group in 2016.
The lyrics of Mi ami? are written by Giovanni Lindo Ferretti and are inspired by Fragments of an Amorous Discourse, an essay of Roland Barthes of 1977, with whom titles of the chapters a part of the song is composed (“elective affinity…orphan of the future…caress the dream…with two fingers of barber…heavy atmosphere…praise for tension…absolute tranquility…on the delicate point…this is not a rerun…easy light…tactical move…”). It has been defined as one of the “symbol” songs in the group’s history. The album Affinità-divergenti between Compagno Togliatti e noi- Of Coming of Age contains a “remixed” version of the song. The song is also featured in the collections Comrades, Citizens, Brothers, Partigiani/Ortodossia II and Enjoy CCCP. (wikipedia)
