Rispetto

Artists: Zucchero EN

Rispetto is the third studio album by Italian singer Zucchero Fornaciari, released on April 28, 1986 by Polydor Records.

This album was released after Zucchero’s participation in the 1986 Sanremo Festival with the song Canzone triste, which was not successful in the festival charts (second to last in the Big category), but was one of the most listened to songs on the radios among those participating in the Festival that year, as had already happened to the single Donne. The arrangements and conducting are by Zucchero himself in collaboration with Corrado Rustici, while the album’s producer is Michele Torpedine, who will work alongside the Reggio Emilia singer for the next two decades. Like the previous album, the record takes up the sounds of rhythm’n’blues and soul music, thanks in part to new musicians such as David Sancious and Brian Auger, and breaks away from the genre only the brief interlude for string orchestra and vocals A Reason to Live.
