Marco Ligabue EN

Luciano’s brother, he began his career in the early 1990s with the group Little Taver & His Crazy Alligators. Since 1991 he has been involved with some projects related to his brother’s musical activity, namely the Ligachannel website and the Bar Mario fan club. In 2001 he founded Rio, a group in which he was active until June 2012 as guitarist and songwriter, participating in the production of four studio albums. In 2013 he began his own solo career. His first album Mare dentro was released just in September 2013. The album was recorded by Corrado Rustici in California and was also released for charitable purposes: part of the proceeds went to C.R.I. In June 2015 he released his second solo album L.U.C.I – Le Uniche Cose Importanti. Preceded by the single “Non è mai tardi,” the album featured collaborations with Beppe Carletti, Paolo Belli, Antonella Lo Coco, and others. Marco’s songs are made up of blunt and direct lyrics that led him to collect, at the end of July 2015, the prestigious LUNEZIA award “for his ability to be able to sing with a direct language, important themes of Italian social life,” as stated by Stefano De Martino himself, patron of the award.
