Luciano Ligabue’s historic group from 1989 to 1994, they recorded his first four records with him and have been at his side for 300 concerts, including all editions of Campovolo the mega show that has totaled 500,000 people to date.
Equipped with a strong sonic identity that marked Ligabue’s early big hits, they were arrangers with him on those albums that marked the return of rock in our country in the 1990s. They then embarked on a solo path releasing four albums: in 1994 “Clan Destiny” and in 1995 “Heart, Stomach, Brain” (Epic/Sony), in 2010 “The Day to Come” and in 2022 “The Essence.” The members of the group later began important collaborations.
Gigi Cavalli Cocchi was the drummer of C.S.I. (Consorzio suonatori indipendenti, formerly CCCP) for 6 years, making their only gold record album “Tabula Rasa Elettrificata” and 3 other records, and then joined Massimo Zamboni guitarist of the band in his solo career. Max Cottafavi, in addition to playing with Ligabue again, has collaborated with Francesco Renga, while Gianfranco Fornaciari has worked with Marlene Kuntz and The Gang. Mirco Consolini, on the other hand, was a bassist in Andrea Mingardi’s band.
