Dull EN

Dull are a trio from Reggio Emilia. They do punk, without much mixing except hints of reggae (Nofx school), with varied rhythms and rather catchy melodies. The current lineup of DuLL, a band from Emilia, consisting of Marco (Rex) Reverberi, Massimo (Ruz) Ruozzi and Davide (Guzzo) Guzzon, has been together since early 2004. Previously the group, with a different lineup, had recorded towards the end of 1999 the demo-cd “Limonata Calda” through which the band began to make a name for itself around Italy thanks to songs such as “LSD” or “Divisa Blu” that are still played in clubs. Nevertheless, at the end of 2000 the band split due to the need of the members to follow different personal projects.
2004 is the year of DuLL’s return, with a new component and a new demo, “Spok,” recorded in January at Musik Station in Correggio (RE) with the participation of Korra, a charismatic bass player in the area and friend of the three. The 4-song demo, completely self-produced, allows the three to re-enter the live scene in the area. After a participation with excellent results at the Emergenza Festival in March, the three begin the season of concerts related to the promotion of the new CD with a head-liner date at Tempo Rock in Gualtieri, an evening that, thanks to the large turnout and audience participation, also relaunches them in the live scene. Throughout the year the group is engaged in the promotion of the album through an intense activity that will lead them to play in more than 25 concerts also with bands of the caliber of Skiantos and One Dimensional Man.
he trio concludes its series of concerts promoting the Spok album in March 2005 with a spectacular live performance at Tempo Rock in Gualtieri, which sees the guitarist smashing his instrument onstage under the eyes of an audience already in the throes of destructive elation.
After the decision of the band to take a break from live activity and to set to work on the production of new pieces and after a few months was already ready to record what would be their third demo, “Un minuto in più” which was recorded between the end of June and early July at Oasi Musicale in Masone (RE). Thanks to this new work, which is technically and qualitatively superior to the previous one, the three manage to gain a lot of acclaim and increase their horizons, arriving to play in regions such as Abruzzo, Lazio, Sardinia and to be requested as backing band by bands such as Skiantos or Cattive Abitudini. The CD is also noticed by some independent labels and distribution houses that select songs for compilations of their own production and help the group to spread their product.
At the moment the band is busy in the preparation of those that will be the pieces for a new work and in the definition of the concert of the spring and summer seasons which seems that will take the band to play in city of Italy such as Naples, Rome, Turin, Milan and in regions like Sardinia and Sicily.
